Modifying your trials bike

By nature, trials riders are tinkerers. Less so these days but in the early days of trials, there wasn't a great deal of factory bikes, they were often customised road machines or a road engine in a privately constructed frame.

The trials bike underwent a great deal of modification and development to become what it is today. From amazingly bulky machines with telelever front suspension and a hardtail to being the slightest machines with fully adjustable front and rear suspension with CNC machined rear swingarm.

I believe the Scorpa to be the peak of trials bike design but realise it can still be improved upon! As you can see on the message board, the Motorbiketrials.com viewers have identified a fair few problems with the bike. Having had a strong interest in engineering I have tried to defend the problems without being too biased.
