| Burwash has got to be the best land we now have for club trials
where we can lay out interesting and demanding but not dangerous
sections for our club members to push them that little bit harder
Because we are using this land once a year for the NKTC we
like to get as much time down Burwash to cut and find new sections,as
we are working to lay out a club trial we are also looking at
the same time to make new sections for the combine trials we have
once a year on this land which is why we need as many club members
to help with the working party`s as possible..The Bexleyheath
prides it self as one of the leading clubs that try`s to do as
much as it humanly can to help the future of trials sport in our
country and make quality trials events for all trials fanatics.
Sundays trial was very cold and wet with the ground very
soft and boggy in places. Section one we laid out quite easy just
dropping down a small but slipery slope into some boggy bog through
two markers and out the other side between two trees, i thought
it was easy peasy lemon queezy,BUT CLIFF FIVED IT.what a donut!!
Sections two to five were along the first stream keeping
reds and blues mainly in the water as the banks were untouchable
but using some of the harder banks for the white route which gary
seemed to be handling ok and i was messing up big style with a
five on the second section.Section three was another section i
strugled on all day going arse over tit on lap 3.to my delight
i was`nt the only one who did, directly after i had done it someone
else did the same arse over tit inpression i had done earlier, made
me feel a whole lot better thanks to that rider. Section four
was easy peasy then there was the section from hell Section five
was quite hard for everyone. The banks had deteriated and got very
slippery and most of the red riders was stopping on the last bank,i
see little jamie webster come off his 8o cc clipic and land in
the mudd and it took about three people to free the bike from
the stream, otherwise jamie was riding well, keep it up mate.. Cliff
seemed to be riding better then his normal crapy self, makes a
change. Gary stevens and minder Gary parbutt were ploughing the
way on section five, gary managing to get out of the mud slot
which most people collapsed exausted on.
Section six was right over the other side of the ground by
what we call the trout farm (thats the fishey kind),very muddy
steap banks which in third gear and flat out made a fantastic
section.Cliff fived that as well ha ha.
Sections 7-10 were along the other stream which we had cut
out on the thursday freeing the stream so we had access all the
way along. Nine was what we called the F.U.B.A.R section which
consisted of jumping straight off a vertical six foot muddy bank
which was covered in bluebells into the stream below..In the end(southern
pussy) Gary decided to get the spade out and make the bank a little
safer to ride rather then trying to kill all intended....It did
have crack head open on handlebars written all over it.Even when
expert rider Nicky Dowland finished he said the white course was
quiet hard which made me think we had just got it right.
I think a good day was had by all 38 riders who turned up
no one got hurt and everyone had a smile on there face at the
end.well Roy Purvis did anyway! Also the yellows had there own
ten sections laid out at the back of the ground mainly for the
youngsters of the Parbutts and Stevens, who were running around
trying to keep up. They need the exercise anyway(quote from gary
roberts)
Thanks goes to Lou roberts,Gary roberts,Paul stevens,Gary
stevens,Dennis fleet,Roger carter, the two geezers from the kent
and sussex and anyone else i forgot,Oh yeah and me for laying
out yet another wicked trial.
see yers all next time when i teach Cliff how to ride a bike, till
next time bye bye now children bye bye...ENDE
