Rain I love the stuff !
What's going on, Seconds before lift off it pours down making
good sections turn to mush and what would have been a good event
turns sour…It makes you wanna give up and go home and go back
to bed, Not me I'm as hard as nails and could tackle a trial in
a Tropical monsoon. Yeah right!!! First section of the day was
simple like me when I went the wrong bloody way through the cards
and ended up on my fat arse on the slippery bank, Douh as homer
would say.
Section two was a little trickier over a slippery log
and piruwet over another in the wet was a little easier then I
thought drop down the bank to the bottom and flat out in third
to get back to the top-Cliff made it look quite easy with little
throttle coming back up. Must have had super sticky on his tyres
that day because you know by now Cliff has crashed and burned.
Hate to admit it but I actually think cliff is improving,,who
said that!!!
Now we are getting to the good stuff nice thick mud lovely..Section
3 was Mr Mote's section where you had to drop straight into the
goo and blast your way along the gully round the trees and out, what
a great section I loved it,It did take a few marks off riders
including Cliff.Next section was Dave Cooper ,another great section
with some banks and roots to negotiate easiest
section of the day.By the 4th lap Gary,Cliff and myself were getting
bored so we incorporated mud flinging as part of the section where
I got cliff lovely on the head…
Section 5 nice easy peasy section then we come to Andy Pierce`s
section which in the end looked worse then what it was, over a
log then sharp left up the hill to the top..Caught me out twice
dropping five marks over the first two laps Gary having no problems
what so ever. Bugger! Sections seven and eight where no trouble
at all then you came to the Brocklehurst muddy gully.. Lee and
his old man were standing there with nice big grins on there faces
when we turned up, having seen the section I could understand
why, they must have thought they were on to a good one, I bet
they were thinking were gonna see some great stack ups here. It
wasn't to bad for the inters but the whites and reds did struggle
with the near impossible banks,I came a cropper on the last lap
on the exit of the section, Couldn't lift the bike anymore was
completely knackered.I went arse over tit straight into the mud
then sliding down the bank into the smelly bog to the sounds of
laughter from you know who,,well I do my best to please the crowd
with some entertainment..
Sections ten eleven and twelve I'm not even going to write about
cant be bothered..Not impressed at all, To hard and when it rained
and sixty odd bikers had been through they were near on inpossible.Should
have been changed after the first lap!!!Out of Twelve sections
four sections were to hard and having to drag your bike though
just to get a three is not what I call trials.. The red route
did take the most criticism, having seen poor Stan struggling
and even Bernard Rodemark and a lot of the twostroke red route
fall on there backsides I can understand why. Erith will need
a good brief when they turn up at Thursday's committee meeting
to explain why sections wasn't made easier after the first lap
and explain the amount of people that went home only after a few
sections, its not down to the marshals to change sections it's
the clerk of the courses job. Perhaps I'm talking rubbish don't
know. Just my opinion and I'm entitle to it,Still me and my clan
of riders enjoyed most of the day and would like to thank the
Erith and Mike Holloway for the use of there land…
