Sunday's trial attracted an entry of 60ish riders
down at Yetnor farm run by the Gravesend club. Monte was up and
running by 9, paperwork all set out ready for signing on and Dave
five chins Plumb was out tweaking the sections all this at 9 in
the morning, good thing some of us are keen!!!
Having entered on the day I was right at the back
of the pack which im not used to going last so it was flat out
all the way pausing every now and then to watch other inters show
me the route in the sections as I wasn't in the mood for getting
off the bike and walking round ( I am one fat lazy B****** ) well
I did walk some, mainly the flat ones! So it wasn't long before
I was catapulting past most of the entry, even passed the bullet
himself, must be that new gas gas he brought, slow as three-legged
tortoise!
Then caught up with five chins who was trying his
best to toughen up the sections on the second lap which were a
bit easy, I think I should have hit them whites and given a lee
"I don't finish a trial" Brocklehurst a run for his money, well
I would have had to take the front wheel out at least to give
him a sporting chance!!!:)
Had two stupid fives on lap two, one on Dicks,
bike stalling on me over the first tree stump and another on Les
Mattons section going the wrong bloody way. Cliff was doing his
usual ' im a blowfish' impression (see pic)

and Lee was obviously bored and was trying the
death defying root up between two trees on section 13, which did
look well hairy, but he made it up just!! With Matt Parbutt at
the top just in case it went the way of the pear. Would love to
know why Matt was caressing LB`s bum, is there something you want
to tell us boys you were looking very friendly up there.

Monte emailed me the results Monday-thanks for
that and the pics didn't come out to bad either. Thanks to Dave
and Monte for a great trial, all the observers and the rest of
the Gravesend posse who made this event happen. Cheers.
