Round 3 of the Bexleyheath club championship was
held today down at Richards farm in Wainscot. Very wet and cold
conditions still had most of the regulars turn up just in time
for the awards presentation. Gary picked up his gong for best
expert for the year(he only won it cause I couldn't be bothered
to turn up:):)). Young Jamie Webster took first class honours
on the youth red route and also my old man picked up an award
for adult red route (that was fixed)
Well done to all our winners especially Gary who
this year has managed to do the treble by winning the Nktc inters
and Se inters and the aforementioned gong, jammy git!!!.
The conditions on the Saturday were almost tropical
monsoon and we had to lay out most of the sections well easy just
to make sure we didn't have a repeat of last weeks team trial
which ended up almost impossible. Come the Sunday the ground had
almost dried out due to the high winds over night and thank goodness
the torrential rain had ceased late Saturday afternoon. Loads
of grip making our white route to easy or so I thought having
gone round first lap for zero but looking back seeing cliff fighting
with a huge bush and loosing a five, and also Gary putting his
feet down in the most easiest parts of sections which was most
unlike him to make that many stupid mistakes.
Even spotted Richard dabbing here and there, Richard
normally is impossible to beat in the wet especially in his own
back yard, but I have a feeling I beat him today having only dropped
three or four marks. Those irc tyres do work.
Where were you Ed your meant to do the come back
thing and woop cliffs arse, me and gazza are getting bored of
it now weekend after weekend its getting tiring, sorry Cliff but
you always deserve a mention every write-up its now the norm:):).
Did I mention our team came third in the team trial
last week and someone I know could only manage 2nd to last, and
we even beat Richards team, halleluiah, praise be. Bexleyheath
part timers Monte and Roy also had a smile on there faces riding
around the course so I assume they had a good day, it was good
to see Dave Randal on his immaculate refurbished 250 pinky-photo
to follow, and after selling his brand new beta that he couldn't
get on with I thought it might be the last we see of Dave.
Well im off next week to Hungry hill for Windleshams
cup trial on the 28th a most excellent event which me and Gary
and the old man do every year to get rid of those Christmas blues
and the hangovers.
Thanks to every one who make the bexleyheath events
happen year after year as I say you know who you are,,,,cheers
and have a good Crimbo and new year to everyone.
Chow for now Rob Fleet signing off>>>>>>
