Profile
Dennis started trials riding in 1958 on a two year old 197cc Greeves as a member of the Lea Bridge MCC part of the South Midland Centre,as he lived in Islington North London. He retired from trials riding in 1963 to save for a house which he brought in Bexleyheath Kent when he got married in 1965...
Dennis could not afford to restart trials riding again due to the high costs of buying Rob all those second hand pushbikes including a uni-cycle..In 1975 Dennis joined the Bexleyheath club and started riding Triumph Twins 500`s and 350`s which he built up with advice from club member Dick Caselton.Dennis enjoyed riding British twins to his early sixties.Rob advised him to buy a modern two stroke bike saying it would be lighter for him to manage, and as he happened to have a Montesa for sale Dennis happily took up the challenge and now enjoys riding in the novice class in the southeast centre.Dennis joined the clubs committee in the 1980`s to help run club trials and was given the Secretary`s job in 1990.Club membership has grown from 40 in the 80`s to 240 in 2003 and he is pleased to be working with a hard working team of people that makes things happen and enjoys seeing youth and Adults enjoying the sport of Motorcycle Trials
